Posted February 17, 2017 By Eliot Shorr-Parks | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com Good news Eagles fans -- everything is about to break your way during the NFL Draft and free agency! That's right -- offensive tackle Jason Peters took a new deal, lowering his cap hit. Guess what, so did center Jason Kelce. In even better news, the team found trade partners for Connor Barwin, Darren Sproles and Mychal Kendricks. With all of the cap space created, the Eagles were able to attack free agency, and put together their dream 2017 roster. In this ideal (and hypothetical) world, here is what the Eagles' roster would look like if everything broke their way. **Don't think the Eagles have enough cap space to pull off the below moves? Click here for an in depth look at the team's cap space ** QB: CARSON WENTZ For the first time in a long time, the Eagles can confidently go into the season knowing they have an answer at quarterback in Carson Wentz. Wentz showed plenty of positive signs last season, and despite going through some rookie struggles, the Eagles should be confident that with some new pieces around him, Wentz is capable of taking a team to the playoffs. Gail Burton | AP PHOTO RB: LESEAN MCCOY The chances of McCoy being released by Buffalo are slim, but as NFL.com recently pointed out, it is possible. If he does, McCoy coming back to the Eagles makes a ton of sense, as they need a running back, and he is the best in the history of the franchise. McCoy might only have a year or two left, but the Eagles can use that time to develop a running back behind him. Bill Streicher | USA TODAY WR: MIKE WILLIAMS More and more mock drafts have Williams falling to the Eagles, which would be the best case scenario for top personnel executive Howie Roseman. Williams, 6-foot-3, 225 pounds, was the best receiver in college football last season, and has the potential to be one of the best in the NFL as well. Pairing Williams with Wentz this early on in both of their careers would be a franchise-changing move for the Eagles. Richard Shiro | AP PHOTO WR: KENNY STILLS This one can only happen if the Eagles get some breaks in cap space, as mentioned above. Stills is expected to demand at least $10 million annually, which is why it is possible he hits free agency and doesn't re-sign with the Dolphins. If he does hit the free agency market, however, Stills is the perfect compliment to Williams, and would be ideal for the Eagles. At just 24 years old, Stills averaged 17.3 yards-per-catch last season, and would be the down-the-field threat the Eagles need.
